The big flood of 57 came racing down from the mountains and right into Don Burgeron’s Pa’s (Teddy Burgeron) newly dug channel, and it took his tractor about fourteen miles down toward Mexico. It also dug the channel out so close to the house that it took it right along with the tractor.
Bubba Burgeron and his mother Betty (William Burgeron’s first wife) were washed away in the flood and presumed dead. Recently Stefanie from Germany came forward saying Bubba might be her father. [Link to Burgeron Family Tree]
The flood of 58 took the river way back toward Bovine again and we been dryer than lint ever since.
@Rockylou22 @GoodmanSeth I know Don always wanted a sail boat! Or wait! Is this a flashback to the flood of 57?

@Rockylou22 @GoodmanSeth I am reminded of the lines, “I love the friends I have gathered on this thin raft.” JM

Well, this reminder of the Floods in ’57reminded me of the floods for 2013 when the family had come to visit Dr M in the UK. http://imgur.com/a/Jw2sY#9 We had many fruitful family therapy session by candlelight….
