….And so concludes the first week of The Burgeron Summer Trailer DS106 open course. We’ve introduced you to digital storytelling in a variety of ways and in a collaborative mode on the web. The story has already taken a few intriguing twists and turns from its core narrative; in fact, a new character has emerged and so Sappho would like to introduce you to Betsy de R., ace reporter for the Bovine County Daily. She discovered the drone activity in Bovine County and was originally tipped off by reading an article about FAA rulings on drone deliveries. Relatively new on the job, she is looking to make a name for herself in Bovine County as she learns new digital skills so important to her career.

We sure do need a good reporter around here, what with all the strange goings-on lately. I mean, cow abductions? Really? Makes one kind of miss the days when having ghosts around the family was considered bizarre. What could happen next I am afraid to think. So it’s good we have someone ready to keep us all up to date!
Though I wonder if Betsy might share how she made this video? I’m still not very good at video and need all the help I can get!

Oh good idea about sharing the video production! I’ll write something up and add it to Betsy’s reporting! I know what you mean about all the bizarre goings-on. My post about drones was inspired by a real news story about the FAA and Amazon. It seems to have sparked everyone’s imagination!
